Unlock Grocery Store 2 in Own A Grocery Store
The $30,000 Markets purchase: what Store 2 sells, when to buy it, and when to wait.
Grocery Store 2 is the second market in Own A Grocery Store (official experience: Own A Market). It is not Floor 2 of your first building. It is a separate grocery you unlock from the Markets icon on the right side of the HUD for $30,000. Once you confirm, you teleport into a new plot that sells a different basket — wheat, bread, seafood, and related lines — while Store 1 keeps bananas, corn, milk, eggs, popcorn, and the floor-two specialties.
This page is the buy decision. If you still cannot run Store 1 without sprinting every crate, go back to Getting Started and Make Money Fast. If you have $50,000 burning a hole and no second plot, you may want the Rebirth Guide instead of, or after, this purchase.
How to buy Grocery Store 2
- Play on Store 1 until your cash can absorb a $30,000 hit.
- Open the Markets button on the right of the screen (same column as Upgrades and Rebirth).
- Select Grocery Store 2 and confirm the $30,000 spend.
- Teleport when prompted. You are now running a second tycoon plot, not an extra aisle.
There is no secret quest and no code. Codes does not unlock Store 2 — there are no active promo codes and no redemption UI as of September 2026. Group like-bonus cash can shave the grind; it does not replace the sticker price.
What you get for $30,000
Store 2 is another Monkey Mart-style grocery with a new raw-to-processed set. Public guides and playthroughs consistently list wheat, bread, and seafood as the headline goods, with more buttons appearing as you walk the floor the same way you did in Store 1: green pads to buy, red pads you cannot afford yet, shelves to stock, workers to hire, a register to staff.
You do not keep Store 1’s banana trees inside Store 2. You start a parallel production graph. That is why the purchase feels like “a different game” in beginner videos — because you just cloned the tycoon loop onto a second lot. Store 1 continues to earn, including offline, if you left it staffed. Store 2 earns nothing until its first product hits a shelf and a customer reaches checkout.
Use the products tier list once you see Store 2’s full button list in your build. Wheat-to-bread is the obvious processed pair; seafood is a distinct high-value line that wants its own handling, not a leftover Store 1 worker you forgot to hire.
When you should buy it
Buy Store 2 when all of these are true:
- Store 1’s useful enterprises are owned, including Floor 2 if you intend to keep that income ($8,000 upstairs: peanuts, peanut butter, chocolate, almonds, chef).
- Workers and a cashier actually run Store 1. You can walk away for a minute without the banana shelf dying.
- Speed and stack on the important staff are not still at tutorial levels — check the upgrades tier list.
- $30,000 is not your entire net worth. After the purchase you still need seed cash to buy Store 2’s register, first shelves, and first worker.
- You are not thirty seconds from a rebirth you already decided to take. Rebirth resets money and progress; a Store 2 you cannot recoup before goldify is a donation.
Community beginner guides (and this wiki) give the same short version: max Store 1’s earning potential first, then spend the $30k.
When you should wait
Wait if Store 1 still has unpaid workers, no cashier, empty animal feed, or an unbought Floor 2 you were counting on. Wait if the $30,000 is a Gift spike you cannot repeat. Wait if you planned to goldify tonight — the rebirth planner will show whether that $30k is more valuable as a second plot or as progress toward the $50,000 first rebirth (then $75,000, then higher diamond-tier thresholds).
Floor 2 versus Store 2 is the common confusion:
- Floor 2 — $8,000, same grocery, vertical expansion, same product family plus peanuts / almonds / chocolate.
- Grocery Store 2 — $30,000, Markets menu, new lot, wheat / bread / seafood.
If you can only afford one expansion this session, Floor 2 almost always prints faster because you already have staff habits and corn infrastructure. Store 2 is a second job.
Running two markets at once
After teleporting, treat Store 2 like a new Getting Started run: register, first raw product, shelf, worker, cashier, then processing. Do not bounce every ten seconds if Store 1 was already stable — that is why you hired people. Do bounce if you forgot to feed Store 1’s cows before leaving; offline helps a staffed store, not a starving one.
HUD habits stay the same. Upgrades still cost cash from the shared wallet. Rebirth still goldifies products and wipes progress, which includes the work you just did on both lots. That is the strongest argument for buying Store 2 after a rebirth you were already going to take, or buying it when you are committed to a long non-prestige stretch.
Servers remain six players, online. Store 2 does not give you a private server. Lag still has the official free VIP-server workaround. Controls do not change; controls still applies.
Store 2 versus rebirth versus more upgrades
Three sinks compete for the same pile:
- Upgrades on Store 1 — usually the best dollars per minute until diminishing returns. See Make Money Fast.
- Grocery Store 2 at $30,000 — more product variety and a second offline plot, at the cost of split attention.
- Rebirth — first goldify around $50,000 and +25% product value, then ruby / emerald / diamond tiers at higher cash gates, resetting the tycoon.
A practical path for most accounts: finish Store 1 including Floor 2 → take the first rebirth if you can rebuild fast → buy Store 2 on the goldified run when $30k is easy. Buying Store 2, half-building it, then rebirth-wiping both plots is the expensive lesson this page exists to prevent.
Watch Updates if a “Market 2” content drop changes the pad list or price. Until that happens, the sticker is $30,000 via Markets. Official place and group links live on the wiki overview. Scripts will not legally buy Store 2 for you; anything that claims otherwise belongs in the warning pile on Scripts.
Frequently Asked Questions

A new grocery line led by wheat, bread, and seafood, plus more pads as you expand that plot. Store 1 keeps bananas, corn, dairy, popcorn, and floor-two specialties.
